The book was published in 1890 Presbyterian Board of Publication and Sabbath-School Work, Philadelphia
‘Bits of Pasture’ is diminutive in size 6" by 5" (150mm x 125mm) and has 255 pages. There is short sermon for every day of the year except New Year’s day and Christmas day which each have two sermons. Most pages have two sermons, some only have one, on the other hand, a few sermons are spread across two pages. Each of the sermons has a title, in contrast to J.R. Miller’s book ‘Every Day of the Year’ where there is strictly one reading per page and no titles apart from the date. The pages of ‘Bits of Pasture’ are numbered, but this has not been captured in the transcription.
The copy in my possession is inscribed to Lina Boyd, Murdocksville Pensyvannia, PA. and dated July 14th, 1903.
