The old pamphlets page pamphlets/jr-miller.com was revised. The folowing text was removed:
Dr. Miller authored at least 35 booklets and pamphlets. By this is inferred a publication of more than a couple of pages and of less than book length. Here we assume a book has at least 150 pocket size pages.
The number of Miller’s publications listed on this page is growing by one or two titles each month. Despite the bold claim to completeness, immediately below. The information recorded here is incomplete, and occasionally wrong. It was gleaned from many sources, especially postings by booksellers, which is of itself ofttimes of dubious reliability. Even so, in the early days of this site, recording the data thus gathered was rather too casual. This has led to certain inconsistencies in the information presented. However this situation is being remedied with enormous zeal and diligence.
The old page //www.jr-miller.com/pamphlets.html was deleted. The relevant text was:
The great majority of Dr. Miller’s works contain snippets of poetry. The first lines for each and every snippet in the pamphlets are collected into one index of first lines. On the other hand, each book and booklet has its own index of first lines, which is accessible from the book’s or booklet’s own index page. At least this is how it will be at some future date. This is project that is worked on erratically.
Other pages provide a complete list of Dr. Miller’s known booklets, pamphlets, and books. A larger combined listing of all works, which includes more dubious titles and the editor’s jumbled notes, are filed under publication dates - alphabetical.
By editor’s fiat: * a book has more than 150 pages, * a booklet has between 50 and 150 pages, and * a pamphlet has less than 50 pages. Booklets and pamphlets are currently lumped together because of an overwhelming pragmatic reason – ignorance. The number of pages in many of the smaller works is not yet known, so each work cannot be assigned to a more precise taxonomy.
