This Website used to be hosted by www.HostingInsiders.com. It costs me the princely sum of $4:95 USD per month, so I don’t need your money. However if you would like to emulate Paula Kuczynski, Mary Willis Woldu, PK, and JB by transcribing some of Dr. Miller’s texts I would be grateful. Proper acknowledgments will be made.
The site has only been up since 26-Nov-2004 and I’m nervous about the performance of HostingInsiders. Above is the uptime for the site as reported by Netcraft on the 3rd February 2005. They are rebooting every five days, which is not good. However the reboot on 23-Dec-2004 involved an upgrade, at these prices one does not expect perfection.
For reasons I don’t understand Netcraft no longer produces a pretty graph. It simply says that no uptime is currently available for www.jr-miller.com. This surprised me as my logs tell me they visit the site every single day to make sure it is still here.
I used to pay only $2.95 per month, but upgraded to get more subdomains. About 1% of all page requests to the server failed. I assume this is because of overload.
In October 2005 I needed more subdomains so I emailed Hosting insiders, many many times, but they failed to reply. After 10 days I moved the site to u2-web. I now have an unlimited number of subdomains for ony $3.99 per month. However I do have to pay for my own domain name. The uptime as you can see below is far beter than HotingInsiders.
Above is the uptime for the site as reported by Netcraft on the 15th November 2005. When I changed hoting providers, Netcraft again stared loging the uptime. You would be doing me a favour by clicking on the graph and going to Netcraft as that will probably encourage Netcraft to keep logging the site's uptime.

Windsor University
I am getting old, which has some advantages. For instance, the University of Windsor allows us old foggies to take courses without charge. I am enroled in 60-270 Advanced Website Design given by Terry McKay, a most excellent lecturer. The course has two projects. The first is a simple web page using css and the second a more complex six page site. I am calling my Web site: Wonderful Web Wanderings. Windsor Restaurants
This site has nothing to with J.R. Miller other than that I am the WebMaster. The site www.windsor-restaurants.com plans to be the the the most complete listing of restaurants in Windsor . The second largest activity in Windsor, Ontario is hospitality. So you can expect Windsor to be rich in all sort of restaurants, whether you classify them by ethnic diversity or price range. Because Windsor is a year round tourist destination and has a high density of restaurants this leads to remarkably low prices.
